Through a Female Lens at Open City Documentary Festival

A lack of a place at the table has meant female filmmakers have had to be innovative both in their methods of finding stories and working collaboratively, in their intentions and ambitions for their work, and in their navigation of both the industry and their film’s subjects. In this conversation with trailblazing documentary makers hosted by WFTV, we flip the coin and ask: where is the female advantage?
Speakers include:
Host: Natalie Samson (Head of Awards & Events for WFTV)
Brett Story (Director, The Prison in Twelve Landscapes)
Blue Ryan (Director, Gold Star Productions)
Sara Hardy (Director, Gold Star Productions)
Katharine Round (Director, The Divide)
Presented in partnership with WFTV.
